We Know Flood Insurance
Who Are We
INX Insurance Services, LLC is proud to operate floodprice.com, a platform created to offer you a simple, online solution for purchasing flood insurance.
Purchasing flood insurance can be intimidating, especially when dealing with a government entity. For many years flood policies were only available for purchase through the National Flood Insurance Program, commonly known as NFIP. Lack of competition, allowed rates and coverage options to go unchecked, resulting in unfair premiums and gaps in insurance coverage.
Floodprice.com was created to provide you with an accessible alternative to purchasing an NFIP policy. We've combined our industry expertise and carrier relationships to bring you the best of what private flood insurance has to offer: competitive rates and better coverage options. Our quoting process is fast, simple, and designed to help you obtain the coverage you need! You can get your online quote in about the time it takes to brush your teeth.
How We Save You Money
We offer fair rates base on true risk analysis.
The NFIP often relies on outdated flood maps and generalized historical loss data to calculate premiums. Their oversimplified assessment can lump your property into an overgeneralized category, assigning you an unfair rate.
We believe your flood insurance rate should reflect your property's real risk. Our advanced mapping technology analyzes multiple data points specific to your home. This allows us to offer more accurate rates, and prevents you from overpaying for your policy due to someone else's high risk property.
We don't subsidize rates, so you don't spend more offsetting costs for risky properties.
In addition to failing to set accurate premiums, the NFIP also offers non-need-based subsidies to approximately 20% of its policyholders. While it would be reasonable to assume that these subsidies go to low-income households, the reality is quite different. Nearly 80% of households that receive NFIP subsidies live in counties that rank in the wealthiest areas. If you aren't lucky enough to be on the receiving end of these subsidies, you are likely being overcharged to benefit those that are.
We don't require costly elevation certificates.
The national average cost for an elevation certificate is around $600, but can reach up to $2,000. Our technology allows us to evaluate and price most properties within minutes, and eliminates the need to wait days for an engineer or surveyor to visit your home to create an expensive elevation certificate.
We know flood insurance! Most agencies divide their focus among multiple insurance products, only selling flood insurance occasionally, and only offer flood policies through the NFIP.
In contrast, the team at Floodprice.com is so passionate about flood insurance that it's all we do! With 20 years in the insurance industry, we have the relationships, knowledge and expertise to find you the best coverage at the best price.
Why Buy Private Flood Insurance
Private Flood Goes Beyond NFIP
Due to changes and recent large disasters, flood insurance rates from the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) have soared and will continue to do so into the future. Private flood insurance is often less expensive and offers broader coverage options, such as living expense in the event your home becomes uninhabitable. Private flood insurance also offers enhanced basement coverage and higher limits, so the policy can be tailor made for your property. Let us help you find the right coverage for your home.
Up To The Limit Purchased
A floodprice.com policy will pay up to the limit purchased for Appurtenant Structures. (Don't let the wording overwhelm you. This is a fancy way to describe things like a detached garage or a shed). This limit is in addition to the building limit, and is a unique feature to private flood policies. The NFIP typically requires you to purchase a second or even third policy to get coverage on these structures!
Additional Living Expenses
Automatic Limit of $5,000
If you are unable to live in your home due to flood damage, your floodprice.com policy automatically provides $5,000 for things such as temporary lodging and meals. This limit can also be increased by endorsement.
Up to $15,000
The NFIP's basement contents provides coverage for a very short list of items including food freezers, washing machines & clothes dryers.
A floodprice.com policy provides $15,000 to replace damaged items such as furniture, clothing, electronics, and other personal items.

"...absolutely the easiest site that I’ve ever been to. From beginning to end it took less than 10 minutes to get a flood policy and have it printed out. I retired from the insurance business after 40 some years and I’ve never experienced anything quite as easy as this was. And to top it all off the prices are fabulous."
